Gloaming - Dan Schwartz, Nick Salisbury
New Full-length album from Dan Schwartz and Nick Salisbury. available for purchase as a 12” vinyl LP, CD, and Digital Download on Bandcamp.
Guitarist Dan Schwartz and bassist Nick Salisbury play diversely informed instrumentals, formally unpredictable but always songlike, delicate but never wispy. On their debut album as a duo, the all-acoustic Gloaming, they divide compositional duties and play together with the refinement and responsiveness that have made them busy and respected players in the Twin Cities and beyond. Steeped in jazz harmony but guided, too, by a passion for folk and R&B, the duo’s contemplative, easeful music and sculptural melodies are born of long experience in music and life but driven by a sustaining spirit of exploration.
